Neighborhood
Nature and water lovers will be in paradise here! St Georges Basin, onto which we enjoy direct water access from our private boat ramp, is a stunning, expansive lake in the heart of the Shoalhaven, just minutes from beautiful Jervis Bay. Perfect for boating, fishing, swimming or just paddling with the kids in the shallows, the calm waters of the Basin make this an idyllic spot for your next holiday. Enjoy the abundance of parks and reserves - including direct access to the Booderee National Park - from the water or take your boat all the way to Sussex Inlet. Around the Basin, you'll find spectacular sunsets over the water and many secluded spots to enjoy the peace of this often undiscovered gem. Meanwhile, Jervis Bay's white sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters earned the area international acclaim for being one of the most spectacular destinations in the world, all less than three hours from Sydney and just two and a half from Canberra. Whether you’re a beach bum, walker, cyclist, water sports enthusiast, keen fisher, nature explorer, foodie or beer and wine lover there’s something for you. There are dozens of beaches to choose from, many served by a waterfront walking/cycling track that runs for nearly ten kilometres from Huskisson to Hyams Beach. Whilst in the Booderee National Park you’ll find yet more stunning, secluded beaches, kilometres of bush walks and spectacular flora and fauna. The calm Bay waters are home to over a hundred of bottlenose dolphins and, from June to November, become one of the best places in Australia to see the annual migration of humpback whales. You'll find many more local tips in our booklet inside the house, including our favourite coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, breweries, markets, local walks, beaches, day trips and wildlife sightseeing.
