Good to know
Welcome to Pool Studios @ Due East, a boutique collection of beautiful, simple studios named after the unique and spectacular beachfront position they hold on the shores of Nelsons Beach, Jervis Bay. Pool Studios includes two separate studio apartments with an adjoining garden and swimming pool. You will have exclusive use of the larger studio Pool House and smaller hotel room style Courtyard Studio. A garden separates the two properties, making for the perfect accommodation option for couples, friends or adult family members looking for stylish beachside accommodation with shared areas to enjoy, alongside private bedrooms/bathrooms to retreat to. Enjoy an architecturally designed property, engineered with style and function in mind at every corner, from polished concrete floors to oversized ensuites. * Best bits of Pool Studios @ Due East * - Two separate studio apartments with adjoining garden area and 18.5 meter private pool - note access between studios is via the exterior perimeter of the property (ask us if you have any questions, may not be suitable for families) - Comfortable Queen beds with luxury mattresses - Wifi - Relaxed retro furnishings and style paired with a beachside vibe - Spacious and stylish ensuites with walk in showers - Further sunny, undercover outdoor courtyard with dining area and outdoor shower - The larger Pool House features a lounge area, indoor dining table and kitchenette with stovetop and basic cooking equipment. The smaller Courtyard Studio is a 'hotel room style' room set up - it has coffee/tea facilities and supplies provided, toaster, microwave and mini fridge but no other cooking facilities - All linen, bath and beach towels provided - Complementary local wine, chocolates & free coffee at local cafe for all our guests - Part of a larger complex of studios and private residence * Need to know * - Perfect for groups of couples, friends or family, sleeping four in two Queen beds across the two separate studios - We don't recommend this accommodation for young families with parents/children in separate rooms due to the distance between studios. The accommodation would only be suitable for parents/children if an adult sleeps in each room. The Pool House is also suitable for an infant, please let us know if you plan to bring a child and bring your own travel cot - We don't have laundry facilitates on site. Holidays aren’t a time to do the washing, give yourself a break and take it home - Cooking facilities are limited. We’ll give you the best tips on where to eat out at our many local cafes, bakeries, restaurants, pubs, wineries, food trucks and breweries or just take a picnic or fish’n’chip dinner to eat under the stars on the beach. We have a small kitchenette to get you started (with stovetop, basic equipment, kettle, toaster, coffee, tea, sugar provided) and the all important mini fridge for your bottles of wine but nothing further - Please note the spa is NOT operational but the pool is all yours! Laze on the beach in the morning before relaxing by the pool in the afternoon. Take in the sunrise across the water on a morning walk or enjoy a bottle of wine under the stars and beautiful evening skies. The location here is second to none, your front door is just steps from the white sands and crystal clear turquoise waters of Nelsons Beach and Plantation Point where you’ll often see dolphins swimming close to shore. Nelsons’ Due East position makes it the best possible place to catch the very first rays of the day as they dart over the horizon ahead between Point Perpendicular and Bowen Island at the mouth of Jervis Bay. In the evenings, it becomes the perfect spot to watch spectacular moon rises or settle in for a romantic evening of breathtaking star gazing. The Studios @ Due East are positioned at the start of the renowned White Sands Walk - a waterside track that ambles through bushland, passing secluded beaches until you reach the world famous Hyams Beach. This really is the heart of the south coast, with the town of Huskisson and its boutique local homewares, fashion and gift shops, buzzing cafes and award winning breweries a little over five minutes drive by car. Or reach the town by taking the 5km waterside foot/cycle path from our front door. Whilst by car, the famous Hyams Beach and nature lovers' paradise, the Booderee National Park are less than ten minutes drive. Further afield, take a short trip to explore the many more trendy Shoalhaven eateries, wineries, pubs and shops from Milton to Berry, such as Kraken Sourdough, The Growers, Greendales & The Butter Factory, Cupitt's and Silos Estate to name just a few. Or get close to nature taking by taking a cruise on Jervis Bay to see our many resident dolphins and seals. Try a snorkelling, free diving, paddle boarding or kayaking experience, or from May to November, see migrating humpback whales as they frequent Jervis Bay. * FURTHER THIRD STUDIO AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST*
Other Details to Note
Due East is a collection of studios and part of a larger private residential property. You have your own pool and garden, property entry and courtyard at Pool Studios as well as a private interior. However, please note, both studios are part of a shared property with an additional studio and private residence on site so we ask you to be mindful of other guests. Please be aware these two studios are separate and only joined by walking around the perimeter of the larger property. They suit adults better than families. If you need more info, please ask. Onsite you'll also see Beach Studio. If you are looking to travel with more friends or family, you can book all three studios, please send us a message to discuss. Jervis Bay White sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters have earned Jervis Bay international acclaim for being one of the most spectacular destinations in the world, all less than three hours from Sydney and just two and a half from Canberra. Whether you’re a beach bum, walker, cyclist, water sports enthusiast, nature explorer, foodie or beer & wine lover there’s something for you. There are dozens of beaches to choose from, many served by a water side walking/cycling track that runs for nearly ten kilometres from Huskisson to Hyams Beach. The calm Bay waters are home to over a hundred of bottlenose dolphins and, from June to November, become one of the best places in Australia to see the annual migration of humpback whales. Get your coffee, food or beer fix at one of the many cafes, restaurants or local breweries. You'll find many more local tips in our booklet inside the property, including our favourite coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, breweries, markets, local walks, beaches, day trips and wildlife sightseeing.
