St Georges Basin, onto which we enjoy direct water access from our private boat ramp, is a stunning, expansive lake in the heart of the Shoalhaven, just minutes from beautiful Jervis Bay. Perfect for boating, fishing, swimming or just paddling with the kids in the shallows, the calm waters of the Basin make this an idyllic spot for your next holiday. Enjoy the abundance of parks and reserves - including direct access to the Booderee National Park - from the water or take your boat all the way to Sussex Inlet. Around the Basin, you'll find spectacular sunsets over the water and many secluded spots to enjoy the peace of this often undiscovered gem. Meanwhile, Jervis Bay's white sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters earned the area international acclaim for being one of the most spectacular destinations in the world, all less than three hours from Sydney and just two and a half from Canberra. Guest access

Blue Gum is set on a larger 6+ acre property where the friendly owners reside full time. You have the private use of 2 acres of unfenced property as guests of Blue Gum. This land spans from the cottage to the water's edge and includes a cabana with dining area and BBQ, boat ramp and beautiful fishing spots. The 3.2m wide boat ramp enters a small creek which feeds into St Georges Basin. There are limitations on the size of boat that can be used on this ramp - we recommend only tinnies, other small boats or kayaks. The creek is also narrow (15m) and shallow. If you intend to bring a boat please speak to us in advance. Please also note the boat ramp is accessed via a 200m grassy area with trees. In or after wet weather this area may not be suitable for vehicles. We take no responsibility for accessibility based on weather conditions. Guests are responsible for their vehicles and property at all times. There are a few small steps with hand rail up to the verandah and front door of Blue Gum - please have a look at the listing pictures. You have private off street parking by the cottage, there is plenty of space for up to 3 cars.

Tranquil, restful, serene, calm, soothing just some words that come to mind to describe this beautiful place. Plenty of nature; trees, creek, birds, fish and kangaroos to soak up. We went for a paddle in the creek, bushwalk around the Basin and splashed about in the nearby beaches. Provided amenities were suitable to our needs. Beds were comfy, everything was very clean and neat. Local recommendations from Mel and Alana were great and the hospitality and local knowledge from Les was much appreciated. Feeling very relaxed after our holiday. Fully recommend.
